Get help in VirginiaWhy location matters
Where you live shapes approval rates, wait times, and what kind of medical evidence wins. Here's what changes from state to state.
Each state runs its own DDS office, which evaluates the medical evidence in your initial application and reconsideration. Approval rates and processing times vary significantly by state.
The Office of Hearings Operations handles ALJ hearings regionally. Wait times and ALJ approval rates differ by office, and a local representative knows which judges handle which case types.
Some states pay an additional SSI supplement on top of the federal benefit. Others do not. Knowing which is which affects what the claimant actually receives each month.
SSI recipients qualify for Medicaid, which is state-administered, so the scope and speed of enrollment varies. SSDI recipients become eligible for Medicare after a 24-month waiting period.
How we work
One number, one form, regardless of state. Our intake team routes you to the right local representative within 24 hours.
Every state has its own approval patterns. Your representative knows the DDS and OHO offices that will handle your file.
Application, reconsideration, ALJ hearing, Appeals Council — we handle every stage of the claim, no matter which state you live in.
Our fee is set by the SSA: 25% of your back pay, capped at $9,200. You pay nothing unless we win your case.
